What BozzTrades keeps about you

This site is run by Rick, one person, not a company. This page says in plain words what is stored, where, who can see it and for how long. Last changed: October 2026.

In short

  • The public site (bozztrades.com) has no accounts and sets no cookies. A calculator there may remember what you typed, in your own browser only - it never leaves your device.
  • The personal area (members.bozztrades.com) is for invited members. What you enter there is kept in your browser and, so you see it on every device, in a database in Ireland (EU) linked to your account.
  • Only you can see your data through the site. No analytics, no advertising, nothing is sold.
  • Every night an encrypted copy is made, kept for 30 days. If something goes wrong, up to a day of changes can be lost.

Your account

Your email address, your username, a hashed password (never the password itself), which parts of the personal area are switched on for you, when you last logged in, and a short log of account events such as "invited", "invitation accepted" or "blocked". If you set up an authenticator app, the database keeps what it needs to check your codes.

Stored with Supabase in Ireland (EU).

What you enter in the personal area

Your trades, journal, plans, finances, document list, strategies and settings are kept in your browser's own storage, which makes the site fast and lets it work offline. A copy goes to the same database in Ireland, linked to your account, so your laptop and phone show the same data. When both a device and the cloud changed the same part, the site asks which version to keep - it never overwrites one silently.

Screenshots and documents you add are kept in the same database, privately in your account: up to 2 MB per file and 20 MB in total. Pictures you paste inside a note are part of that note.

These stay on your device only and never go to the database:

  • your Myfxbook email and password. When you sync, they pass through this site's server to Myfxbook and are not stored or logged on the way;
  • the demo data you can switch on to look around.

Who can see it

Only you, after logging in. The database itself refuses a request for someone else's data, also from other members.

Rick is the administrator. The admin panel shows him your name, email address, which parts are switched on and when you last logged in - not what you entered. As the owner of the database he could technically open it; he does not, unless you ask him to help with something.

Backups - and what can be lost

Every night a copy of the database is made, encrypted with a key only Rick has, and stored in a private GitHub repository (GitHub is a US company; it cannot read the encrypted copy). Your screenshots and documents are in it too. Copies are deleted automatically after at most 30 days (sooner when there are many files, so the backups stay within their storage).

If the database is ever lost or damaged, it is put back from the last nightly copy. Changes made since that copy - up to a day of changes - can then be lost. Often your own browser still holds them and sends them up again, but that is not guaranteed.

Want your own copy as well? Download one now and then (see below) - it holds your files too.

Cookies

One cookie, only on members.bozztrades.com: the login cookie that keeps you logged in. No tracking, analytics or advertising cookies, here or on bozztrades.com. Charts and videos shown on some pages come from TradingView and YouTube; those load from their own servers and follow their own privacy rules.

Other services this site uses

  • Vercel runs the website. Like every web server, it sees your IP address with each request and keeps short technical logs.
  • Supabase (Ireland, EU) holds the accounts and the cloud copy of your data.
  • Resend (Ireland, EU) sends the password-reset emails. It gets your email address and nothing else.
  • Upstash (through Vercel) holds the community leaderboard - only if you join it, and only the name you pick and your percentage gain, which are shown publicly.
  • GitHub keeps the encrypted nightly backups (see above).

Your data, your choice

  • Download everything: on My data you can save a full copy as one file, whenever you like.
  • Delete your account: yourself, any time, on Settings (your password and one confirmation). Your account, everything you saved in the cloud (files included) and your leaderboard entry are deleted at once, and the browser you do it in is emptied. The copies in the nightly backups disappear within 30 days. Other devices keep what they hold until you clear the site data there.
  • Questions or a correction: ask Rick, the same way you got your invitation.
